Add a Link Without Leaving Facebook

Facebook is hoping to eliminate the need to wander from your current mobile browser with an Add a Link button according to TechCrunch. Currently being tested in a small group of mobile users, the new button will be similar to how you can tag friends or a location in a post or comment, allowing users to 'Add a link' and then search for keywords within Facebook to bring up popular links already shared within the network. If testing goes well, this could be offered to a wider audience at a later date. The link search results appear to be sorted with the most recent posts at the top with popularity being a factor. The new button may eliminate the need to stray from the Facebook app at all while you're looking to share that latest cat video.
