Bye Bye, Checkout Badge

No formal announcement about it, other than a note in Google's support, but as of June 2011 they're getting rid of the Checkout badge that showed up below certain merchants' ads:

Their stated reason, as usual, is that this will improve user experience. They're doing this at the exact same time as they're ramping up promotion of their +1 Button.
