Embedded Tweets Get a Makeover

Twitter has made some improvements to the look and functionality of their embedded tweets. Available since 2012, the improvements include: faster rendering times, higher quality photo resolution based on the device, and full-width support for photos and video so your tweets load prettier and faster.

As you can tell by the example Twitter provided in their announcement, the new look utilizes the area better by reducing white space and expanding the image size. You can expect the new embedded tweets look to roll out to all users soon.
