Google Analytics Combines Web Site & App Data


Google Analytics has combined the data that's collected from your Web site and the data collected from any apps that you have into one report and title.

"In this constantly connected world, users can interact with your business across many digital touchpoints: websites, mobile apps, web apps, and other digital devices. So to help you understand what users do in the increasingly diverse digital landscape, we're enabling you to view web and app data from the same reporting view."

The changes that are most obvious are new names. Visitors and Active Users are now known as Users. And Visits are now Sessions.

The good news is that when you want to view the Web data and App data separately you can add a simple filter to your reporting views. Read up on these reporting changes within the Google Analytics announcement.
