It's Christmas in July - Link Data now in Webmasters Toolbox!!!

The Bing Webmaster's Toolbox Team deserves a BIG 'thank you' for this one, they just did a total remake of the service, and much to our surprise they added inbound link data for any site. YES!! We've all sadly missed the link data we used to get from Yahoo's Site Explorer and thanks to Bing and their new Link Explorer we've now got a new source for that data.

This data is crucial if you want to study inbound links, especially if you're trying to study a site other than your own.

Warning...Be aware that Bing is comparing only the last day of the site's traffic with the first day of the selected range in the Dashboard report, not the entire time period. Maybe Bing will get that fixed soon but until then it's confusing.

If you go to the Reports & Date menu option, you'll see the Page Traffic option. This is a great report to see detailed info on how your top pages and your site is doing on Bing Search. Click any URL in the report and a pop-up is displayed showing what keywords each URL is ranking for, how many clicks it's got from search, the CTR, Average Search Position and Average Search Click Position.
