Klout Rolls out Content Sharing Feature & Gets Purchased for $100 Million

Klout, the social influencer ranking site, has been busy with big updates and a buyout this month. For starters, they launched a new service allowing influencers to share content via Twitter or Facebook. The sharable content is selected by Klout based on your audience and the topics they feel will create the most buzz. In order to utilize the service you simply login to Klout and select the Create tab.

You can add more topics to your list or give articles a thumbs down or thumbs up to see less or more of the same. The service comes with the ability to schedule content for later release as well as immediately post items to make your social sharing obligations easier.

It also appears that the social engagement service provider, Lithium Technologies, has purchased Klout with some of the estimated $100 million purchase price to be paid out in company stock. Lithium Technologies provides assistance to companies looking to improve their social media foot print with software and Klout's social influencer platform is the perfect pairing. Lithium is expected to go public this year and while the paperwork for the sale has been signed it's not final yet.
