New AdWords 'Callouts'


AdWords advertisers can now display any unique benefits of their site, products or services below their ads in one simple line. This new ad extension has been named Callouts and is meant to allow advertisers to show potential consumers new information about their site and entice them to click on the ad.

Here are a few things to know:

  • You can schedule the Callouts to appear at certain times of the day or week.

  • Each Callout needs to be less than 25 characters.

  • You can set up the Callouts without having to make new ads.

  • You're only allowed 4 on display at a time.

  • You can edit your Callout at the campaign or ad group level and all data will be saved.

  • The set up is done at the account, campaign and ad group stages.
