New AdWords Price Extensions


This week Google added Price Extensions for those wanting to better showcase their services and/or products when using mobile text ads with AdWords. The new extension will provide additional information of your service/product and how much it costs.

This additional information will appear in the product knowledge panel on the customer’s mobile device without them having to click on your ad to see it - making it easier for them to compare their options.

Price extension can be used in combination with other Google ad formats and extensions. It's also possible to add this new extension at an account, campaign and ad global level. This makes it convenient to give more general info at an account and campaign level and more detailed at an ad group level.

Here are some tips on setting up price extensions the right way:

  • Have one landing page for a group of price extensions.
  • Keywords should be used that are consistent with what you are offering.
  • A minimum 3 and maximum of 8 price extensions should be set up.
