Rolls out a Shopping API and Kills Boutiques.com

Google has made three key changes to the Google Shopping experience.

1. The first major change is the shutdown of Google Boutiques.com and the transition of all the things that made that site worthwhile into Google Product Search. The new Google Product Search page has been integrated and updated into a classy, easy to see, and visually unique page.

On a side note, if you currently have data at Boutique.com Google will contact you on how to retrieve that data by October 14th.

2. Google has also made changes to the merchant's side of things. Merchants can now get product data from Google's Content API for Shopping by adding URL parameters to product retrieval requests, specifying the start and end dates for which performance data is required. The returned product data contains new elements with the number of clicks per day for each product, for example:

3. Finally, Google has made multiple user access available in the Google Merchant Center. This is a great addition for merchants and the full instructions on how to do this are available here....
