How To Get Your Goods Listed In Yahoo's Product Search
How To Get Your Goods Listed In Yahoo's Product Search – and everything you need to know about setting up a Yahoo data feed!
–by Stephen Mahaney
Not to be outdone by competitor Google's Froogle, Yahoo offers its own brand of product search that gives consumers a way to quickly locate goods and price-compare them...

...but, to get your stuff listed in Yahoo's Product Search database, you'll need to submit a product data feed to Yahoo.
The Data Feed Described
Submitting a data feed to Yahoo basically means that you are creating a computer-readable file describing your products and uploading it to Yahoo according to their published specifications. The data feed file must include the required fields with each of the fields being separated from one another.
Now, if you've already submitted a data feed to Froogle (Google's own comparison shopping engine), then you're ahead of the curve and know most everthing you need to know about creating a Yahoo Product Search data feed. All you'll need to do is sign up for your Product Search account at Yahoo!
If you've never submitted a data feed before, the first thing to do is make sure that your store meets the requirements for being included in Yahoo Shopping.
