  • I've been an Adwords user for years but have yet to embrace mobile ads for my clients. I know the market is booming so I want to get these ads set-up in client accounts immediately. What tips can you give me to optimize these effectively right from the start?

Google's recent launch of their new Nexus One smart phone and their late 2009 acquisition of mobile display company AdMob makes it pretty clear that 2010 is the year mobile advertising really takes off.

What this means for current Google Adwords advertisers is that now, more than ever before, you can design and target higher relevant ads to a larger mobile-enabled audience, all from your existing advertising accounts with very little effort on your part. Nevertheless, although Google can now provide you more mobile-enabled customers, you still need to optimize your mobile ads AND your sites effectively. Mobile ads are not like your regular Google Adwords ads. They require a different optimization approach and unique landing pages to be effective.
