Pay-per-click listings are clearly the most expedient marketing tool available to online companies. In today's SE environment, every major portal displays some form of pay-per-click listings on their results pages. Of course, along with an increase in traffic hits comes also the corresponding hit in your wallet. Now, more than ever, the astute marketer must know the difference between keyword-buys that are worth the money and the ones the are just siphoning off your marketing dollars.

Tracking your conversion to sale can become a programming nightmare and lets face it, we'd rather spend time filling orders than reading log files and trying to decipher reports. To assist you in this task, Overture recently added a couple of optional new tools;
- Tracking URL – an appending tool that adds tracking info to your URL to make it easier to analyze your results when using site log analyzers like Webtrends.
- Conversion Counter – Overture's own tracking system that provides information on your sales conversions without having to use a stand-alone tracking system.
