Content is an indispensable part of promoting your site's services and products online. It provides an avenue which can drive traffic to your site and generating incoming links. Great content means more links—better links mean better rankings.

So, the question today is - does more content on a site equate to better rankings? No. Content is really about quality. We tend to believe that the perfect content amount is whatever amount of content is necessary to best address the question at hand or communicate to your readers what you hope to get across.

Putting up pages just for the sake of putting up content, especially if that content is not unique, well-written or necessary, isn't going to boost you in the rankings. Expand your FAQ's, product tutorials or implement customer requested information whenever possible, but spend time on the quality of the content itself. Make sure to optimize each new page of content around 1-2 keyword phrases or concepts and update your sitemaps regularly with these new content pages.
