How can I add Retail Stores to my GMB Mall listing as Products?

  • I manage a shopping center and I want to add products to their Google My Business (GMB) listing. I'm only updating the shopping mall's GMB listing. Most of the shops are managing their own.

My question is, can I create a featured product for each business within the mall with a description of that business, or is it best to list individual products that are sold in stores?

Answer:

The short answer is 'Yes' you can and it's a clever way to use this feature. Although, this isn't the traditional use for Products in Google My Business (GMB), we've frequently seen this done for businesses that don't sell a tangible product.

For your situation, we suggest you list each store as a product of the mall instead of listing a specific item that each store sells. Listing an item will most likely lead to maintenance issues and headaches if they run out of stock or stop selling something.

When you're creating the product listing for each store we'd include where it's located (Level/Wing/Nearby?) and the brands and product-types each carries. Then you can see how that does, and tweak based on what you're seeing for traffic.

Also, be sure to use UTM tracking codes for each product listing so that you can track popularity and click through rates.SEN article end
