Is it OK to distribute a blog across several sites that link back to my own site?

I have a client who wants to distribute a blog on several sites with backlinks to his site. The sites he wants to publish on are medium strength in authority. Will this be an issue?
Answer:
It's not a great practice to distribute the same blog to different sites in order to get those backlinks as it's really easy to spot and you don't want it flagged as an inappropriate backlink scheme.
Such "guest posting" works in moderation and if it's good quality — but you're better off keeping it to a minimum, not showing it as a 'guest post' and having original and different articles on each post which link out to different resources which also each look as unique and "natural" as possible.
Most importantly, you should do your best at making these posts as valuable as possible and optimise them so they actually do get real traffic which, in turn, clicks through to your site.
As for the strength of the sites, that's fine, but make sure they are reputable and actually have good rankings that drive traffic. Plus, don't offer guest posting, write for us, or paid link opportunities on a site. Doing so alerts Google to the fact the content, backlinks, and site itself look "unnatural" as Google likes to call then.
