A.I. Bots Can Improve Your Work, But They Cannot Critically Think — by Stephen Mahaney

It seems that people in all professional walks of life are freaking out about the recent deluge of A.I. powered tools and resources that have suddenly become seemingly ubiquitous.

But is it really a problem? Or,

Is it an Opportunity!

I believe it's the latter.

So what does this mean for SEOs like us?

Like all paradigm shifts that affect jobs, there will be winners and losers. In fact the World Economic Forum (WEF) predicted that automation in the workforce will displace about 85 million jobs by 2025. But they also said that...

the new wave of AI technology is projected to create 97 million new jobs

Like every shift of this sort in the past, retraining is a necessity for displaced workers. As such, the science of online marketing will shift. But there will still be a need for online marketing. Businesses will always need to sell their stuff. Professionals will always need to find clients and customers. Manufacturers will still need to move their products.

As has always been the case in the past, businesses and professionals and manufacturers will need professional help to guide them through the maze of competitive venues. Right now, that's Google. Maybe in the future it will be a ChatGPT powered Bing. Beyond that, who knows?

Remember, the only constant is change. And if you can constantly change with the change then you'll remain one of the winners.

The hard truth is that pretenders will fall by the wayside.
