AdWords Testing Expanded Headlines
Google has been quietly beta testing what users are calling Expanded Headlines. Within this new beta feature AdWords headlines can be up to 80 characters long. This is the first big move we've seen since Google removed the side bar ads. It makes sense that with more room on the page that they'd make changes to take advantage of it. Here's a screenshot that was shared on Twitter by Himanshu:
Right now this is just a test that someone was quick enough to document. However, it's a feature we expect to see in the wild soon enough. It just makes too much sense for it not to. Read more about this feature here.
