Bing's Improved Auto-Suggest has built-in Knowledge Panel

Bing unveiled the expansion of its Auto suggest search feature, which now includes people, places, animal breeds, albums, brands, movies, sport teams and more—pretty much everything people search for. Most noteworthy is the fact that Bing now incorporates a small knowledge graph panel into the interface. For example here's what happens when we enter ti into the search field.

The little gray arrow next to any specific search term indicates there's a knowledge graph panel associated with that term. Hover over that arrow and up pops the panel. So far the search terms it includes aren't locally oriented or even product related. The data is being pulled mostly from Wikipedia, which both Google and Bing seem to adore.

Bing is calling this technology Satori. Bing's Antonio Gulli wrote,

"Satori...understands the relationships between millions of people, places and things providing you with a more useful model of the digital and physical world. All of this computational power allows you to select the most appropriate choice in a matter of milliseconds."

Remember that auto suggest is a great keyword research tool. Entering your keywords to see what Bing is suggesting should give you some good ideas about which keywords to target.

By the way, Bing was the first to roll out knowledge panels and this new system is a great way to spotlight that data. Considering how quickly Google adopted the knowledge panel system once Bing rolled it out, makes us wonder how long it'll be before they start testing out a similar auto-suggest system of their own.
