Google for Jobs is LIVE & Based on Schema Markup


If you happen to be looking for OR listing a job, you may be pleased to learn that Google for Jobs is now live.

Google for Jobs is basically aggregating job listings from a huge (and growing) list of third party sources. So far they're scrapping job listings from:

America’s Job Exchange

Following the 93 More jobs link takes you to a page that lists all of the jobs that fit whatever your search criteria. You can also search based on job categories by using the scroll arrows along the top of the box. There you'll find the typical job categories like Accounting, Education, Science & Engineering, Healthcare, and so forth, just to name a few.

Within the guide for getting jobs listed provided, Google goes into the benefits of being included on the site and then pushes adding schema.org/JobPosting markup to your site to be included. Simple.
