Google Launching Job Search Platform
Well, it's official - Google is stepping into the Job Search industry with a new platform that is powered by Google AI called 'Google for Jobs'.

The rumors started when Google launched the website https://hire.withgoogle.com/ and it became clear that they were making serious moves to step into the job search industry. With the recruitment industry worth close to 500 Billion dollars last year it's no shock to see Google make these moves considering how much noise they've caused in verticals like the Travel industry.
However, with the broad mission statement 'Google Hire helps you manage your company's recruiting process.' it was unclear what the Google Hire program was meant to do. And now announced the new 'Google for Jobs' search engine with no mention of Google Hire it looks like they plan to dive into both job search AND corporate head hunting. According to the article at SEJ:
Rather than competing with other job search services Google will be partnering with them. The company will initially partner with LinkedIn, Facebook, Careerbuilder Monster, Glassdoor, and others.
Searchers will be able to filter job listings by various attributes, as well as see what the daily commute time would be like. The ability to submit an application directly from a job listing was briefly mentioned as well.
For now everything is still up in the air but if you're in the job industry then take notice. Google is coming.
