Google Refreshes Its Page Layout Algorithm

The latest refresh of Google's Page Layout Algorithm has been applied as of early February. There was a little chatter when it happened but most of our members got their issues resolved when this update went live back in January 2012. However, if you see a huge jump or decline in your analytics, it may be due to this algorithm refresh.

The Page Layout Update penalized sites that were ad heavy above the fold (the visible part of your Web site, before scrolling). To read more about this update, visit Google's original blog post.
