Microsoft adCenter Releases New Features

Microsoft announced a number of new features they have added to their adCenter service March 21st. The new features and enhancements were done based on customer feedback and are geared to make the service easier to use.

The changes focused on four areas of the adCenter interface:

  1. Redesigned menu to make it easier to find features.
  2. Improved browser compatibility for Chrome and Safari.
  3. Bulk tasks are now quicker to perform.
  4. Better visibility for Historical and Aggregated Quality Scores.

Microsoft also notes that it's working on several new features which are already being tested with a select group. They include -

  • URL by Match Type: This new feature will be released soon. It provides the ability to assign unique URLs and Parameters to those URLs for each keyword match type within the same ad group. Advertisers will be notified one week in advance prior to this new feature being turned on.
  • Improved Location Targeting: New advanced location targeting options will be made available allowing advertisers to target by physical location or by physical location and intent.
  • Broad Match Modifier: This new feature allows creating keywords that have greater reach than a phrase match, but with more control than broad match.

They also mention adCenter will soon be adding more interactive ad formats to complement recently released Mobile features.
