Visual Search Expanded

Bing announced August 3rd some recent updates to their Visual Search featuring special coverage of the So You Think You Can Dance Fox TV show. They also added a Glee Music Guide.

While it's unlikely these two new additions to Bing's Visual Search will have any impact on your Image Search Ranking at Bing, it is a reminder to go check out what Bing is working on in the Visual Search Area. The most notable take away is that Bing is providing content, or is presenting arranged content vs passing this traffic on to original content sources.

To be fair, in this situation, these example Visual Searches are likely built in conjunction with Fox TV and with their approval to help promote their shows. However, keep in mind this is Bing working on concepts and ideas for keeping their users on site as long as possible, which eventually will likely have an impact on traffic in years to come.
