Yahoo Directory Closes Officially

Yahoo Directory is officially closed...for real this time. Now when you click over to Yahoo Directory (dir.yahoo.com) it redirects to Aabaco. If you're an existing Yahoo Small Business customer than you can migrate your listing here.

The Yahoo Directory was once the most prominent directory on the Internet and now it's just another casualty to Google's growing dominance. This closure comes as no surprise as we first covered its closure in Oct 2014 and then again in Jan 2015.

To be clear, Aabaco is not a directory. It's more of a "small business portal" that is now selling hosting, websites, email plans, ecommerce help and domains. Our advice is to NOT rush in to use it yet considering there are so many other, well established, options out there.
