Those of us who understand the power of full SEO page optimization on our profit margins do our very best to SIMPLFY the concepts behind realistically leveraging structured data within our sites.

A while back we published the Pro's Guide to Understanding & Using Structured Data for Rich Search Results. In that article we helped you understand what, exactly, structured data actually is. We explained how to use it to generate Rich Results and we showed you how it impacts the Knowledge Graph in Google's search results.

In this article we close the loop by showing you real world examples of how using structured data can generate those Rich Results you see in the search results. Here we will show you the *actual* code behind the scenes.

In addition we're going to review examples that were formed based on JSON-LD Javascript using the Schema.org vocabulary — as that is the format all of the search engines have agreed fully to support.

Even though most search engines also support Microdata (which uses inline markup), Google clearly prefers JSON-LD in their examples and recommendations — so much that some options are not even available using Microdata. For that reason, we highly recommend using JSON-LD whenever possible.
