Bing's Keyword Planner Adds Product Keywords in Latest Update


Bing Ads launched their Bing Ads Keyword Planner last year, which provides keyword and ad group suggestions and their accompanying stats (monthly volume trends, relative competition and suggested bids) to advertisers. All things considered it's a decent tool and one that you should check out. The only obvious downside of the tool was that only US accounts had access to it and this month Bing went ahead and made it accessible to paid search marketers in the UK, Canada and Australia.

They also added a new targeting feature designed to help you find product category based keywords that is replacing the Campaign Planner usually found in the Tools tab.

You are now able to search and find the best keyword terms based on a product, landing page or product category. Insights such as search trends, mobile trends, performance breakdown and locations are available for any particular Product Category. These are great additions to this tool for anyone in ecommerce.
