Google PageSpeed Service Sunsetting - Your Deadline: Aug 3rd


Google Page Speed Service Closes After 4.5 years, Google has decided to discontinue their PageSpeed Service, which was designed to automatically optimize a webpage for speed. Google cited a need to 're-focus their efforts elsewhere' giving sites until August 3rd, 2015 to change their DNS. Sites currently using the service, that do NOT apply the changes, will be sorely disappointed, as their sites will become unavailable after that date.

If you're unsure as to whether or not you're currently utilizing PageSpeed Service, login to the console here to check and see if any of your domains are listed as Enabled. If they are then you need to take action. However, you're in the clear if you see this message, You have no domains configured.

If you are using the service then you can find full and simple instructions on how to disable the service here. Google has also provided a list of possible replacements within their announcement.
