Tips to Increase Your Pinterest Exposure
Pinterest is now allowing users to search their own pins. This new feature allows you to easily revisit your pins to edit and update them to increase click through traffic.
We also came across a great infographic, by Curalate, that highlights useful statistics which focus on what makes an image a prime candidate for being 'pinned' and 'repinned'.
The main points that were made are:
- Colors, people like them! Warm reds and multiple dominant colors trumped over single dominant colors and blues.
- Keep the light/dark ratios moderate. "Images with medium lightness are repined 20 TIMES MORE than very dark images."
- Same with color saturation, keep it moderate.
- Consider creating images without faces. "Brand images without faces receive 23% MORE repins than images with faces.
