Yahoo Updates Mobile Interface & Search Algorithm for New Year

Yahoo Search is ringing in the new year with some new search features for mobile users, as well as a search algorithm update. Going forward, Yahoo mobile users can expect to see the following changes:

• Twitter integration
  

  Now, we’ll connect you immediately with top tweets related to your celebrity searches right on the results page.

• A new image search
  

  Find photos of the celebrity first, then explore additional photo sets based on trending content that other users have engaged with– be it photos of Angelina Jolie’s wedding dress, tattoos, red carpet look and more.

• A results refresh
  

  Now you can stay on top of the latest news stories right from the search results page. We've also tweaked our algorithm to bring you the most recent and popular stories up top in the news results stream.

• AMP compatibility
  

  News in Yahoo Search on mobile web is now compatible with a recently released mobile web standard for Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP). AMP architecture is designed for pages to load super fast on Mobile. News pages published with AMP would automatically direct users to that experience on Yahoo Search.
