Get More from Your Facebook Ads with Delivery Insights


Facebook's Ads Manager tools are getting an upgrade with the release of Delivery Insights a system designed to alert advertisers when ads are underperforming. It then gives recommendations on how to address the underlying problems. This new system is set to roll out in the next few weeks so we'll have more to share with you then.

Facebook ads are shown based on an auction system that uses an equation to determine an ad's total value. The total value is determined by:

  • The advertiser's max bid for the desired outcome.
  • The probability that the ad will result in the desired outcome.
  • The ad's quality and relevance to the viewer.

The ad space is then given to the ad with the best total value. Delivery insights will make recommendations on which areas an advertiser needs to make changes to improve their total value. The feature is located within Ads Manager in both the Campaign and Ad Set levels in the Delivery column and also in a tab under Tools.
