Google Analytics Improves their Social Media Reporting


social-data-hub.pngGoogle Analytics have been making improvements to their Social Media reporting metrics, highlighting Google's increased interest in social engagement. Their latest updates bring standalone reports for Data Hub Activity and Trackbacks.

The new reports were previously available within the Network Referrals or Landing Pages reports but now you can access the information independently with more filtering options. The data hub activity report pulls info from the Social Data Hub and shows you the number of activities in a timeline with descriptions of specific activities listed below that have taken place there.

The trackback report lets you see where all of your inbound links are coming from along with the traffic that link provides. Both of these reports can help you determine where your efforts have been best spent so you can prioritize your projects accordingly for the future which is definitely worth a look.
