Google Logo Structured Data Changes

Last month Google made two important changes to their logo structured data documentation.

1. Adds ImageObject Type Support

To provide more flexibility for this schema, now you can use ImageObject type to specify an organization logo in addition to just the URL type.

This is useful if you want to provide data like height, width, author or caption about the image.

2. New White Background Requirements

Google added the following new guideline for logos...

Make sure the image looks how you intend it to look on a purely white background (for example, if the logo is mostly white or gray, it may not look how you want it to look when displayed on a white background).
