Based on numerous studies, we know that faster loading pages have higher conversions, are far more pleasurable to use, and the almighty Google hopefully will reward us by ranking our pages higher in the process.

Speed Measurement Tools

google_page_speed2.jpgPage Speed Insights is a Google service available here and here that measures Page Load Time on a sale of 0-100 and offers solid suggestions for improvements. Since Google is the search engine we're focused on for organic search ranking, this tool is the standard we measure with.
