G+ Opens For Business Pages


googleplus_new_logo.pngGoogle+ has finally begun allowing businesses to create their Google+ profiles. At first glance it appears similar to what Facebook offers businesses. However, Google of course takes it a step farther and you begin to notice familiar features from Google Place Pages - like showing your location on a map. We're sure this is just the beginning with more Place Page integration to take place over the coming months.

Along with integration with Place Pages, Google is also showing the first signs of a real connection between your Google profiles and your Web site. The first of which comes with Google encouraging people to link their Web site with their Google+ page and in doing so, Google promises to include your business in their upcoming Direct Connect feature allowing users to type +companyname to go directly to your Google+ business page, skipping the regular search results. Currently only a few sites like Youtube and Toyota have this functionality, but expect to see it become more widespread.
