'Huge' Penguin Update Poised to Roll Out

We have all been waiting and watching for the next Penguin update to hit the search results. And as usual Google reps are being elusive and vague about when it will go live and how much change we can expect. When questioned directly Google reps have stated that they will hold this update until it's 'ready' and that the delay has been caused by their desire to make the Penguin algorithm update in real time instead of the manual updates it's required in the past.

Well, now there is talk of this update rolling out before the end of the year and that this version will be a 'huge change' in that it will updating in real time going forward. However, Gary did go on to say that they may roll out one more manual update if the real time shift isn't quite ready. Here's how Gary Illyes explained it on Twitter:
