Google's Structured Data Testing Tool Gets Helpful Features

Google's Structured Data Testing tool has been updated to include a solid handful of new features. Some of the most important are:

  • Highlighting - You can click on any of the report results to see them highlighted in the source code on the left.

  • Search and Replace - You can now use these basic search and replace keyboard shortcuts to find specific areas of the code and directly edit it as needed. To activate these shortcuts you need to be sure your curser is in the code section.

  • Auto Complete - One of our favorite additions to the tool is that you can now leverage a 'keyword completion' option that gives you the correct schema.org and JSON-LD keywords for the markup you're working on. You have to hit Control-Space / Command-Space to activate the auto complete.
